Tim Reed is a seasoned marketing and communications professional with a rich and diverse career. Tim is a Maine Press Association award-winning photographer and a New England Press Association award-winning writer. He's developed a direct marketing intranet for Media Power, ran campaigns in partnership with Adobe, Corel, and Autodesk, booked guests on nationally syndicated shows like Howard Stern and Art Bell, and produced nationally aired ads. Tim's produced multiple Google ad and social media ad campaigns, managed multiple teams, worked with Governor Mills' staff on two press events, designed ecommerce, government, nonprofit, and LMS websites, conceptualized, co-wrote, and co-produced a nationally award-winning PSA video series. His unique blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving skills, and passion for embracing new opportunities makes him a valuable asset.
What I Do
Production
Produced twenty-four government PSA videos, and designed many pieces of marketing collateral for distribution, including a statewide distributed energy efficiency guide. He's written and recorded dozens of radio ads and infomercials.
Marketing
Managed and developed multiple websites, statewide digital ad campaigns, social media campaigns, managed EMT's website market research project, and created email campaigns. He's implemented a government CRM and he's made public relations appearances, co-managed press events, and ran a nonprofit giving campaign with a national grocery chain, multiple radio stations, and a minor league hockey team.
Writing
NEPA award-winner for best ongoing story, interviewed NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue, the cast of MTV Real World vs Road Rules, and Governor John Baldacci and Angus King. He's written a children's book, an ongoing mortgage series with the Portland Phoenix, blogs, press releases, and commercial screenplays.
Management
Managed a marketing team of four, multiple agency contracts, government contracts, a New England store reset team for 3 years with Pavestone, and Oldcastle reset teams in Houston, Compton, and San Diego. Promoted and ran a Maine concert venue managing sound, video, security, ticketing, and show teams. Managed a quasi-governmental IT agency contract and developed a multi-year plan to prep the organization for technological advancement.
